What have you done for me LATELY!?!

There is so much power in consistency. When I was young my mother and father always used the quote      ” fortune is in the follow up” why… because the greatest step to success is not innovation but FOLLOW THROUGH. Anyone and everyone has an idea, dream, or aspiration. But, it will only be the one who refused to give up that makes it to the end victorious. The famous song” what have you done for me lately” said yes, you may have done well in the past, but can you be consistent? Where is the fruit of your current labor? The story of the tortoise and the hare sends what message…. the turtle would not stop, he chose consistency, and won. Today I challenge you to be consistent with yourself. If you made a goal to drink more water, drink water, if you said this year you will go to the gym… work it out. Do what you plan to do and don’t stop until the goal is met and you are finished! peace

Check your blind spot

image

There is always time in life for reflection. Sometimes we can make a habit of looking to the left and right when things aren’t going the way we intended or planned; but I have a challenge for you today. Check your “blind spot”, look in that lazy, ugly, unspeakable place in your life and see if you are the greatest contributor to your own demise. Is it your lack of commitment to reading, lack of dedication to praying, need to gossip about anyone at any time… that holds you back from the next level? As human beings we are so accustomed to predicting the traffic of life, we often leave precaution to the wind and drive. We stop valuing the potential of danger or distraction that awaits our laziness. Today, don’t just be content getting from point A to point B; be intentional, specific, cautious, and drive your dreams with the attention it deserves. peace

Motivated

What’s your motivation?  It’s important to not only  identify but tune into  your inspiration. Know what makes you smile, drives you, pushes you to be your best. Statistics  show it takes 21 days to create a habit, so once you identify your “positive pusher” as I like to call it, dedicate yourself to 21 days of indulgences. Set time aside to intentionally smile and be inspired. Then, once inspiration becomes habit, change the world with your inspiration. Peace

Do you dream?

What does your dreams look like… do you know? Is it something in your head or something tangible you can put your hand on? This week I was face with a life changing moment and the question God presented to me was “are our ready for it”.  Sometimes we put God in a box and we don’t realize it. Writing out your dreams and aspirations puts action behind your purpose. Have a plan, then infuse your faith with practical works. God is bigger than your bills, car, and other expenses. God wants to change your life and lifestyle, but are you in a position to receive those blessings? Take time out today and make a plan. God loves you and wants the best for, but you have to get out of your comfort zone and into preparation mode today. peace
