Love motivates you to give. There is something inside each and every one of us that looks for an opportunity to give to those we love. Whether it’s a compliment, a look, or a tangible gift; we have a burning desire from within that wants to bless the people we care for. If we say its God we love, what desire do you have to give to Him? If you scrunch up your face when I pose a question like this, then you need to evaluate if in fact you love God. You don’t have to challenge me to give to my husband because it is my pleasure to make him happy. If we develop a relationship with God, then we come to love Him enough to wake up looking for an opportunity to make God happy. You can do that with your attitude, you continence, smile, tithe, time… you name it and I guarantee if your aim is to please God with it, you will be blessed. When we as the people of God start caring about making God happy every day through our time, talents, and being; I promise you we will become the world changers we are made to be… but it starts with love. How do you start loving God? Message us on FACEBOOK or go to www.intimacychurch.org and well tell you how. Peace 🙂
From the bottom of my heart, I believe the concept “love don’t cots a thing” is polluting the understanding of true love, unconditional love… you know what I mean; The God kind of love, that takes the place of guilt, and persecution. Love did cost, it cost God his only Son, it cost Jesus His earthly life. As believers of Christ, it’s imperative that we remember our love was paid for, not free. God loves you and I so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that the undeserving (us) can choose to love and live for Him. The classic JOHN 3:16
Joy is something that has nothing to do with being happy. Joy is understanding that God loves you and I enough to bring peace and love to every situation. Joy is smiling from the inside out; in order to have joy, you have to have an understanding of what Gods intention for our lives are. God wants us to win period! We need to understand that no matter how the situation looks, as long as we’re in God, we will win. Understanding our victory comes with confidence, and confidence in Christ carries the most amazing gift in its hands, and that gift is joy.
I just got back from my trip and when I walked into my house, the first thing I did was make a mental to do list. Things to make for dinner, diapers to buy, laundry… it made me think. When do I have time for God? So many times in life we can get swept up with things around us, but God really desires for us to have a space for him; something special, intimate. It seems simple enough because God is the Creator, he is why we have these things to do, but ironically God is what’s left out of the day. With this new year I’ve made a personal commitment to make room for God. Not at the end of the day when everything else that I have put before God is complete, but I am now being sensitive to the Holy Spirit to tell me when God is trying to talk to me. Then doing everything I can to be still and hear God’s Word, this is the year God has my full attention.
